Skinny At Home PSL: Pumpkin Spice Latte

Fall is here which means all things cozy and orange including the coveted PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte for those of you who may not speak Starbuck’s). It’s now acceptable to start hoarding all the pumpkin products in your pantry. As my friend Megan knows, you can never have too many. Oh and let’s not forget that amazing pumpkin pie spice seasoning from Trader Joe’s. If fall could be bottled in a jar, it would be in there!

While I love camping out in the coffee shop with my computer, those PSL’s can put a hurting on the waistline and the wallet. A Grande comes in at 380 calories and can cost over $5 in some markets. Umm no! In a goal to conserve both, I came up with an at home skinny version of the Pumpkin Spice Latte that is quick enough for a weekday work morning and comfy enough for the weekend pajama day.

INGREDIENTS:

1 Cup Brewed Black Coffee

1 Cup of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk

1 TBSP of Pure Pumpkin Puree

1 TSP of Vanilla

1 TSP Maple Syrup

1 TSP of Cinnamon

1 TSP of Pumpkin Pie Spice Seasoning

Brew a cup of your favorite coffee (many markets and farm stands offer fall flavored grounds this time of year). Pour all ingredients into your blender, pulse away and enjoy your homemade 145 calorie treat!

Feel free to adjust based on the sweetness level you desire. For An Extra Treat…top with 1 TBSP light whipped cream , just 15 additional calories.
