Buddha bowls also serve as a satiating cravings killer. The get their name from none other than Buddha himself. It is said that he enjoyed food that was simple in nature. That is the idea with this simple meal solution. It is more of assembly than cooking. Part of Buddha’s philosophy was not to let food overtake our life. This step by step process can have you assembling in no time, probably with items you already have in your fridge or pantry.
Use 1/4 to 1/2 cup of your starch as a base layer. Add veggies, followed by protein, and finally toppings. Garnish with fresh herbs. Add a sliced citrus segment for freshness and brightness.
Store for up to 5 days in the fridge. Perfect for lunches or preface dinners on those busy weeknights.
